Chemicals...

If I begin smelling anything that emits a strong odor, such as - perfumes and colognes; deodorants and anti-perspirants; spray paints; cleaning powders and fluids; bleach; new paint, carpet, wallpaper, fabrics, etc. before their odors lessen; soaps of all kinds; even deodorizers have an odor of their own, my throat and nostrils begin to burn, my nose starts to run, my eyes start watering, I begin getting nauseous, get an instant headache, and I start coughing and hacking, until I can get outside to (albeit somewhat) fresh air - which there is very little of left today, because of factories spewing their stink, vehicles pumping out exhaust, etc. All of these fumes seem to find my nose and attack me, too!

We give a sister a ride to the meetings, and it took us two years to get her to please not wear perfume. She said she's stopped putting it on for the meetings now, but she doesn't realize that it's still in her clothing (or what she put on in the morning that her nose has gotten used to during the day and she doesn't smell it on herself). I end up cracking the window, opening the vents, turning the fan on High, blowing the air into my face, and taking short breaths, trying not to choke all the way to the Hall. Have to tactfully move away from the Friends at the Hall for this also... (Oh, if they only knew!).

Nature...

I can smell most any naturally occurring things, and they don't have any kind of adverse effect on me, such as - all the different fragrances of the varieties of flowers and trees; freshly mown grass; lake and ocean water and even their fishy odors; even different kinds of dirt have a smell of their own. None of these natural earthly odors seem to bother me. Kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it? 

Makes me think of "bringing to ruin those ruining the earth." You know that we're not going to have anything that makes us sick in the New World. Jehovah will obviously teach us how to use and do things with the chemical elements He's designed, in such a way so that they don't cause the problems associated with them today, including making anybody sick. Can't wait, can you?!!!
